Thank you, journalism alumni!

Thanks to the efforts of the Journalism Advisory Board, the Journalism Department now has a new endowment – the Journalism Endowment.

The new endowment supports the instructional needs of the department and helps to fund The Jim Hayes Symposium. It was created to allow maximum flexibility in meeting department, faculty and student needs. It will allow us to take advantage of opportunities as they arise, for example, funding student and faculty attendance at events like the Online News Association annual conference and Hack the Gender Gap, where cutting-edge journalism is explored.

Private support is essential for our department to flourish, and we would like to see this fund grow. Please consider making a gift to the Journalism Endowment and checking to see if your employer participates in a matching gift program.  Please see the Journalism Department website for information about how you can contribute.
