Ellen Pensky

Ellen is the CEO and co-founder of BumbleBee Marketing Services. Since 2001, BumbleBee has created buzz-worthy results for clients that need expertise in demand generation, social media, sales enablement, branding, strategy, events, and public relations. BumbleBee has served hundreds of clients across a wide range of industries including Cisco Systems, AT&T, CenturyLink, BT, Abbott and many start-ups and smaller companies.

Prior to founding BumbleBee, Ellen worked in marketing communications at the leadership level for a variety of companies, including VMX/Octel, TelcoSystems, Remedy, and several start-ups.

Ellen’s education at Cal Poly and training in journalism has helped her provide excellent communications and marketing solutions for nearly 25 years. She values giving back,and has been proud to serve on the Cal Poly Journalism Advisory Board for eight years. During that time, she was involved in the 100 Year Celebration of Mustang News, the Thanks a 1,000 dinner event, which kicked off a four year fundraising campaign to create an endowment for Jim Hayes legacy programs, and the Jim Hayes Symposium, which promotes journalistic practices that produce trustworthy and responsible development of news and information. She is also heading up a mentoring program designed to help students at Cal Poly transition successfully to the work place.
