Steve Churm (Journalism, '78), chief communications officer for FivePoint Holdings LLC, was one of four outstanding community leaders honored by the Institute for Community Impact as 2017 Orange County Influencers for Good at a public awards program November 8 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.

Travis Khachatoorian (Journalism, '12) traveled to Australia with an Army parachute troop for training. Khachatoorian works as a reporter for KTUU, an NBC-affiliated station serving Anchorage, Alaska.

Ed Zuchelli (Journalism, '14) and Lindsay MacLeod (Journalism, '13) were married on October 20 in Napa. Ed is a producer with KCRA-TV in Sacramento. Lindsay is a news producer at NBC Bay Area.

Hanna Iazzetta (Journalism, '15) was recently promoted to programmatic manager at Bonnier Corporation in New York, NY.

Alexander Davidson (Journalism, '16) was accepted into the Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Emily Detweiler (Journalism, '16) is now working as the associate creative director of marketing for Groovo by Buzzmusiq. In her new position, Detweiler creates, develops and executes marketing plans; creates content for advertising; and runs the company’s social media platforms.

Benjamin Egel (Journalism, '16) is now working as a reporter for The Sacramento Bee. In his new position, Egel covers breaking news, including crime and public safety, in the Sacramento metropolitan area.

Anna Jacobson (Journalism, '16) began a new position as marketing manager of the Santa Barbara Adventure Company.

Emily Holland (Journalism, '17) is now working as a local editor at Patch.com covering Los Angeles.

Victoria Elizabeth Howland (Journalism, '17) has a new position as a copy editor for ClimateWorks Foundation in San Francisco. In her new position, she is working on a full-time assignment with the Funder Collaborations & Planning team at ClimateWorks Foundation.

Celina Oseguera (Journalism, '17) recently began her new position with Adobe as an employee communications specialist.

Olivia Proffit (Journalism, '17) started a new job at Nest, Google as a public relations associate.
