Mustang Media Group Wins More Than 20 Awards at National College Media Convention

Mustang Media Group, the Journalism Department’s student-run news organization, received 22 awards — including nine first-place awards — from the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) and the California College Media Association (CCMA) at the Midwinter National College Media Convention held March 2-5 in San Francisco.

Donation Funds HD Upgrade to Student-Run TV Studio at Cal Poly

Thanks to a $100,000 donation to the Journalism Department from Bill and Cheryl Swanson, the university’s student-run television studio will be outfitted with the latest cameras, switchers and other equipment, allowing students to broadcast in high definition.
