This fall, Cal Poly Journalism is hosting the 2025 Mustang Media Fest and Hall of Fame Celebration — a four-day event bringing together students, alumni, and industry leaders for workshops, sessions and inspiring discussions focused on the future of journalism and public relations.

Mustang Media Fest

Under the theme “Trust, Truth, and Tomorrow,” Mustang Media Fest will take place on the Cal Poly campus from October 22–25, 2025. The first two days will feature dynamic speakers, hands-on workshops and valuable networking opportunities. On day three, keynote speakers and distinguished Cal Poly Journalism alumni Susan Miller and David Kraft will share their remarkable career journeys. The festival will conclude with the Mustang Media Hall of Fame, celebrating the enduring impact of student media at Cal Poly and reaffirming our department’s commitment to Learn by Doing.
