Let's Talk Jobs
Journalism Advisory Board members returned to campus for the first Let’s Talk Jobs career workshop, where they participated in table conversations, industry discussions and one-on-one resume critiques. Members shared internship insights, resume tips and interviewing skills for their respective industries with more than 80 students in attendance.

Meet the Newest Additions to the Journalism Department
Two newcomers joined the department faculty and staff in 2019: Assistant Professor Michael K. Park, Ph.D., Esq., teaching Media Law (JOUR 302) and Journalism Ethics (JOUR 402), and Jonathan Schlitt, general manager for Mustang Media Group.

KCPR DJ Neal Losey Celebrates 30 Years On-Air
In his time at Cal Poly, Neal Losey was not a journalism student. In fact, his interest in history is what initially brought him to San Luis Obispo more than three decades ago. However, an entirely different interest eventually brought him to the KCPR studio, where he fostered a passion for sharing music that reshaped his career aspirations entirely.

Award-winning journalist and author John Walcott talked with the Cal Poly community on November 4 about the obligation for journalists to seek out the truth. He visited campus as part of the College of Liberal Arts’ CLA Speaks series.
